Handpiece coolant water control. Dental Units shall incorporate means of preventing water from being drawn back beyond the connection point of the handpiece to the handpiece tubing at shut-off.

This new anti-retraction standard handpiece connector comes in 2 to 5 hole models. It was built to meet the new water line guidelines, rules and recommendations put out by the C.D.C. and A.D.A. they require anti-retraction valves on handpiece connectors. This will stop bacteria from entering handpiece tubing and therefore being blown back into a sterilized handpiece.

The innovations built into the Berco anti-retraction handpiece connector, has the customer and dealer in mind (it is repairable at chair side). Should the valve cease to function at any time, a retrofit kit is available. This kit saves having to buy a complete connector each time.
